Join us for the May edition of our monthly Clubnight this Bank Holiday weekend, featuring some of our favourite new artists!

Originally hailing from the Northern, Southern and Western parts of Norway, the Tenby, Wales based trio I SEE RIVERS moves in a musical landscape they’ve dubbed “Float Folk”. With memorable melodies and untraditional vocal harmonies their soundscape can be associated with artists such as Fleet Foxes, Sufjan Stevens and Feist

History & Lore
History & Lore is your Cambridge emo-indie quintet – think Bon Iver meets Foals with a dash of Amber Run and Manchester Orchestra for good
measure. Known for their striking live performances, these guys are an absolute must-watch.

Friedberg Music
Friedberg is the latest project of Austrian-born singer-songwriter Anna Friedberg, who got a kick start to her career a decade ago as Lenny Kravitz got her to support him on the European leg of his tour and then scoring two gold discs with a major label. Now based in London and working independent of a big label constraints, her all-female alt rock band Friedberg is the next chapter of Anna’s success story, with their debut single ‘BOOM’ already reaching critical acclaim.

Norma Jean Martine
Originally from Middletown, New York, Norma Jean Martine moved to London in 2011 at the tender age of 20 to study at Queen Mary University. She decided to implement what she described as “the Lady Gaga plan,” taking a year out from her studies in order to devote more time to kick-starting her career in music. This decision proved to be a good one as she signed a publishing deal with BMG/Chrysalis exactly one year later. Influenced by childhood trips to the blues bars of upstate New York with her mother, her emotional bluesy style draws inspiration from the greats — Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, and Etta James — and, combined with a pop sensibility, has led to comparisons with Amy Winehouse and Adele.

Hotly tipped new singer-songwriter Olivia makes the culturally eclectic, straight-talking kind of music that could only ever be born out of London. Daughter to Jamaican/Guyanese and English parents, she’s been performing since she was eight. It’s a passion that has taken her from a gospel choir to busking in the streets to the acclaimed BRIT school. Since then, she’s been on the road with Rudimental and in the studio honing her songwriting.

Maya Law
Known for her authenticity and self-proclaimed ‘non-bullshit’ lyricism, upcoming songwriter Maya Law has widened her set into an autobiographical blend of acoustic, neo soul, and hip hop, referencing the likes of Amy Winehouse and Lauryn Hill. The 2018 single ‘Full Circle’, Maya’s first release since the acclaimed mixtape ‘Her or Him’, has seen her earn radio play from 1xtra and Radio 6 Music, as well as shows alongside Connie Constance, James Vickery, and MØ.
