Everybody's Talking At Me

decks: Alex Phountzi (pic, GreenMoney), Rita Maia (Badmood), Kobe1

Everybody's Talking At Me takes up where it left off last month with another night of upfront dance music scene stealers, bass-loving night owls and west London revellers. Part party, part blog, part town-crier, part filter, Everybodys Talking At Me is a wild beast of an idea that will break down your inhibitions and leave you breathless and sweating on the dancefloor

This month Alex Phountzi (the ex-Bugz In The Attic DJ who's one-half of the hot production duo GreenMoney), Rita Maia (of pioneering Portuguese music collective Badmood) and Kobe1 (yOyO) bring you a soulfully-flavoured slice of the dance zeitgeist from UK funky to dubstep to bassline...
If you want a sneak preview check out GreenMoney's show on Ministry radio (see the link below) or listen in to their hot new 'Gold Ru$h EP' (Fool's Gold) - out now on iTunes.
On their Myspace page, GreenMoney labelled themselves as 'a pair of jokers from West London making beats in an NW10 rave shed.' Well, we're all laughing now as Alex Phountzi, formerly of Bugz In The Attic, and Leo Greenslade, of legendary Notting Hill Arts Club night yOyO, have been working together since 2008, combining their talents to remix artists such as Chart Topper, Yo Majesty, Jamaica's Terry Lynn and Busy Signal, Detroit's Amp Fiddler and Kanye West album vocalist Kid Cudi.
Rita Maia has performed all over Europe with residencies in Lisbon, Berlin and London, and a critically-acclaimed night at the Notting Hill Arts Club, Ovni Sessions, which promoted Portuguese artists. She's also a co-founder of the pioneer Portuguese music collective Badmood. Her sets are focused on heavily bass-orientated music on a soulful journey from dubstep to new emerging sounds from all around.
