NHAC Live Presents: NORA + Guests - Wednesday 7th June

NHAC Live Present:

Growing up, Norwegian artist/songwriter NOR∆, always had music and art around her. Having a mom that was a singer and actress gave her a rare opportunity to explore her passion from a very early age, which quickly lead to always being a part of school showcases, musicals etc.. At the age of 13 she started out training classical technique under college principal at University College of Southeast Norway; Olav Boedker Neass, which she continued doing until she moved to London at the age of 20. However, year 2010 was the changing year for nora, where she fell deeply in love with jazz and truly started on the journey of finding her musical identity, and at the age of 17 she fully started exploring herself as a songwriter.

This developed in to some exciting projects and gigs all around Norway, on screen, stage, albums etc.. Especially in collaboration with Norwegian composer Jostein Seatre. Before she eventually moved to London in 2013, where she properly started shaping her own individual sound becoming a student at BIMM London.

The 24 year old going under the artist name, NOR∆ has carefully crafted an intriguing and vivid brand of electronic ambient music that is both visually and aurally striking. Her sound is being described as a musical fusion of trip hop/electronica sometimes mixed together with her background in jazz and classical music, with truthful, raw and storytelling lyrics.

NOR∆ released her debut single, HUMANS in April 2016 and is now working towards her very first EP release, as well as featuring in several smaller projects.
